Updated Publications

Technical Note: Load-Span Tables for APA Structural-Use Panels

Because it is sometimes necessary to have engineering design information for structural panel products when used in construction applications, APA provides design capacities for the various span ratings and section properties for various panel thicknesses.  This Technical Note contains uniform load tables calculated using these design capacities. This brochure is available for purchase or as a free downloadable PDF. Form Q225, 16 pages. $1.

Technical Note: Temporary Construction Loads Over I-joist Roofs And Floors

This updated publication provides recommendations for proper placement of heavy loads in a partially completed light-framed structure to prevent damage to the structure and/or injury to the work crew. Availalbe only as a free downloadable PDF. Form J735, 5 pages.

APA Product Reports Available

APA offers 37 Products Reports which are intended to supplement existing code evaluation reports, and signify that the product is in compliance with the national building codes. The typical report covers the product's description, qualifications, design properties, installation recommendations, fire-resistant construction, supporting load tables, span ratings and limitations. In an effort to provide industry professionals with current product performance evaluations for engineered wood products, APA Product Reports® are available free of charge at www.apawood.org/ProductReports.
